Waban Village Day
Waban Village Day
Waban Village Day and Family Fun Run will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025. The Family Fun Run kicks off the day 10:00 AM and the Village Day Fun continues in Waban Square with rides and amusements for kids of all ages, vendor tables, music, food, and ice cream. The Newtonville railroad station, “Hull’s Crossing,” was built in 1880. Train fare from Newtonville to Boston was an affordable 37 ½ cents. The new station helped to lure businessmen, professionals, and tradesmen, who commuted to Boston by rail and built family homes along Walnut Street and throughout the village.
